All Jigged Out ? Wish Hill (Hobgoblin Records HOBCD1004)
""The opening few bars of this tremendous instrumental album will immediately catch your attention! For those of you who can cast your mind back to Moving Hearts or early Davy Spillane you?ll feel comfortable in an indulgent sort of way and those who can cast their mind even further back there are touches of Vladimir Cosma who wrote the inspired score for the David McCallum TV version of ?Kidnapped?. This sense of grandeur explodes from arrangements such as ?The All-Knowing Salmon/McArthur Road? featuring the band?s jazz/folk cross-over brilliantly with a Grapelli-esque Benjamin Lee (fiddle) sparring with the flute of Philippe Barnes. Tom Phelan (Piano) and Ollie Boorman (percussion) prove no slouches either when it comes to accompanying the death defying instrumental leads laying a solid foundation of rhythm that just makes you want to dance. This is a staggering debut from a band that should see them as late-night festival headliners in no time at all. Brilliant!"" Pete Fyfe

AJO @ Latest Music Bar, Brighton
Hi Everyone, AJO finally has a CD out, and We're finally doing a gig in Brighton! We'd love to see lots of friendly faces there... here's the blurb bit from the Joogleberry website (the Joogleberry is now called "Latest Music Bar").
There may be tunes after, so feel to bring fiddles, whistles, hurdy-gurdies etc.
The second gig in the new Brighton Folk series.
"Fresh from headlining the National Celtic festival in Australia, celtic jazz-funk fusion band All Jigged Out return to their home town of Brighton to perform music from their ground-breaking debut album ‘Wish Hill’. With virtuosic flute and fiddle from Philippe Barnes & Benjamin Lee and featuring the talents of Jazz Pianist extraordinaire Tom Phelan, powerhouse drummer Ollie Boorman and Dan Dotor on Bass, this band is guaranteed to bring the house down. Unmissable.
