Three cheeky Scouse lads, two Spaniards, one mission.
‘One lucky day we met these three lads, and the mission began,’ says Carlos. And so it ensued. Carlos and Luis are closer than brothers. Having grown up together in Madrid, played in the same bands, shared cigarettes, beer, girls, food etc...
With the Spanish music scene being strangely different from what we’re used to in the UK, Carlos and Luis started off with the trend of being in as many bands as possible. At one time they were in 8 bands at the same time! ‘One day, we thought, ‘A tomar por culo’ (literal translation: ‘fuck it up the arse’). ‘We took the car and drove to the UK. We didn’t have a place to stay, or anyone to play with, we didn’t have a dime. But, the idea was to meet likeminded people to form a proper band!’
Lo and behold, they came across Paul and Jon (formerly of Northern Souls) and Vinny (The Skylarks). Everything made sense, the addiction to music, the passion for perfection, and the obsession for rocking gigs.
