Lisa made the UK her home ten years ago and over this time, has honed her songwriting skills and developed her stagecraft. Lisa has performed at a number of well-known venues on the London and South East England circuit, making a name for herself and gaining the respect within the music industry and from musicians and songwriters along the way.
In 2007, Lisa decided to make music her full-time career by recording a debut album, forming a band, playing more live shows and preparing to embark on the long, hard road to wider recognition on her journey to success.
Lisa was nominated for nominated 'Best Pop Rock Act' in the Exposure Music Awards (sponsored by TourDates.co.uk).
Independently releasing the debut album, HerStory, in May 2008 via electronic distribution through CDBaby.com on iTunes and physical distribution for Amazon achieved critical acclaim, was featured by Amazon in June in their list of 'New and Emerging Artists for 2008' and achieved some good sales.
Off to a flying start, Lisa and her band were then invited to play GuilFest 2008 and Vivienne Westwood generously sponsored her designs.
This first major ticket festival was a big success with three performances over the weekend, which were well received resulting in new fans and interest from radio, promoters and press.
Since GuilFest 2008, Lisa and her band have supported 'Never The Bride', played at The Pigalle Club and various summer festivals, and scored a nomination for 'Best Female Solo Artist' at the Guildford Brits Awards, from her local area.
The latter part of 2008 is set to be busy writing and recording a second album, as well as performing with her band. Plans are still in motion for announcing release dates of the singles, album and nation-wide tour, supported by press and radio appearances.
